my blackberry dials numbers repeatedly by itself! This occurs usually after making a call and when then locked. On several occassions to, according to my bill, it can do this up to 5 times after me ringing a number once and then again several times during the day. It does not always call th same number either (all are my contacts however). I religiously lock my phone so this is definitely not pocket dialing and has been going on for 2 years - ever since l upgraded, Unfortunately l never really scrutinizd my itemised bill so just assumed l was going over my limit but infact it was thes calls that were causing this. l have even had days when my bill states that l have phoned my messaging service up to 9 times in 1 day when l barely use the service and in fact l am not a large user of my phone at all so 300 mins is well within my requirement. My bill also shows that when my messages were being listened too on 1 occassion l spent 17 mins to listen to 3 short messages -which is the maximum ever saved, and this repeated and high level of minutes have also regularly been noted
Vodafone now refuse to look at my phone to see if there is a fault as they say it is water damaged, according to a bit of discoloured tape inside when it has never been exposed to any moisture, except for a sweaty hand which is unavoidable on a hot day - (and l am informed is enough to change the colour of a the moisture detector!)
This wonderfully convenient, encompassing everything, get out & excape, not do anything or investigate any other probleme as moisture is the cause,- just because!- get out clause! - well - a stroke of genius Vodafone (perhaps you could spare some for your customer service employees?) Also this bit of detector tape is cleverly placed inside the phone, so conveniently next to the join for opening the cover - thus allowing it to detect any minute amount of water - even a tear drop - of which l have shed many (not really) when talking to vodafone (rubbish) customer 'non'- services!
Anyway - apologies l have wandered from my initial question and that is has anyone else had this problem or had any resolve?....... that is assuming you have passed the moisture test and not done the following (quote from Vodafone)-"have you taken your phone into a bathroom with condensation or even stood in a glass bus shelter when its been raining^ ..."WHAT"?!!....."well even that can cause water damage because of the condnsation- or even standing it by a it by a steaming kettle,....." God! help us all..........BUT WAIT!...l wonder... the day i got this mobile -when this all began...l did spot an exhausted flea that jumped onto my mobile and...i remember now.....l noticed it was wearing tennis gear and had a very moist sweat bands on all its legs....maybe some perspiration......................

Problem: The battery life is too short - the battery runs out quickly! This is a new phone, too!

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Different phones have wildly different battery needs. Generally speaking, the bigger the screen and the more functions in use (e.g. bluetooth, wifi, gps etc), the faster your battery will run down. Google "Typical Battery life" for your phone and see what other people are getting. If you are getting much (more than about 40%) worse battery life and you have turned off all unnecessary applications, functions and services, your phone may have other issues and you should contact the manufacturer / your retailer to investigate further.

Problem: I dropped my phone in water and now it's off. What do I do?

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Cut the power. Do this now. Don't turn it on.

In an ideal world, you would remove the battery to make sure there is no power going through the phone. The two main types of damage you are likely to do to your phone if it's been exposed to water are:
(1) Short circuit - power running though the phone could short circuit the electrical components inside. Cut the power immediately to minimise this risk.
(2) Corrosion - the internals of the phone are not designed to come into contact with water and are likely to corrode more quickly. But there's not a lot you can do about this.

Best advice, remove the power and leave it a good, long time (days and days, not hours and hours) before you turn the phone on. If you are lucky and you cut the power in time, you might get away with it. Pour away any water you can that's trapped inside, then give the rest of the water enough time to evaporate away.

Problem: I can't take any photos any more.

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Have you checked how much storage space you have left? You might need to move some photos off your phone and onto your computer.

Problem: The speaker doesn't work.

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Obvious solution first - have you checked all of the different volume settings? Some phones have more than one volume setting and you might have to check the instructions to see if there are any other volume settings. If this is not the case, have you caused any damage to the speaker, by dropping the phone or inserting anything into the speaker? Check for signs of damage.

Also check the phone isn't in a silent mode or a do not disturb profile.

Problem: How do I improve battery life? It's not very good at the moment.

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Try to shut down applications and functions when you're not using them. Charge the battery to full, don't remove it before it's fully charged and try not to leave it plugged in for too long after it has reached 100%.

The screen is a massive user of battery life, so turning down the brightness setting will make a big difference.

Problem: Microphone malfunction.

Solution 1: Check for a new software / firmware update for your phone. You might even have to do a factory reset if this doesn't work, but that is an absolute last resort.

Problem: The screen has a strange purple tint. Is it broken?

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: It's not necessarily broken. Perform a system (software) update and see if that fixes it.

Problem: The phone keeps restarting randomly. I can't get anything done because I keep having to sort it out after my phone reboots.

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: There may be a few reasons for this. In a phone that had a removable memory card, I would say to take that out and try again without it (or reformat the card) but in this case I think it is possibly due to either (a) an application that is running in the background that is causing the reboot, or (b) a faulty component. For (a), try to shut down any applications that are currently running, particularly any that are new to your phone. For (b), try turning off all the additional functions on your phone and see if that stops the problem. If so, turn them on one by one until you find out what is the root of the problem. If not, feel how warm your phone is when it restarts - is it overheating?

Problem: My Blackberry curve 9320 keeps on rebooting by itself and it won't stay on unleits on charge??I urgently need help

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: blackberrys have too many glitches I had one for only a year and it would freeze with the clock symbol every 3 minutes, one day it completely stopped working now I cant get my data back. They are terrible phones they don't work long time, they aren't reliable and the makers don't really care I called them up and they just gave me nonsense that id already tried witch never worked the experts are clueless. So my advice to you is a get a new phone and don't get another blackberry you can take it to get repaired it might work but highly doubt it (I tried) I recommend getting a Samsung galaxy, they aren't too expensive and make a good change, they don't freeze as often and they don't have as many glitches. The storage amount is the same as well. just be careful it is easier to get viruses/bugs on the sg compared to the blackberry. Good Luck!

Problem: My 9320 does not allow me to make calls without having "mobile networks" on, to make the call i have to "restore radio connection" (mobile network) but this leaves me open to updates while out of wi-fi areas which then charges me. I have had the phone sent off but they returned it saying there was no problems with the phone. Any help pleeeeeease
