Check for a new software / firmware update for your phone. You might even have to do a factory reset if this doesn't work, but that is an absolute last resort. 0 out of 1 person found this solution helpful.

Cut the power. Do this now. Don't turn it on.
In an ideal world, you would remove the battery to make sure there is no power going through the phone. The two main types of damage you are likely to do to your phone if it's been exposed to water are: (1) Short circuit - power running though the phone could short circuit the electrical components inside. Cut the power immediately to minimise this risk. (2) Corrosion - the internals of the phone are not designed to come into contact with water and are likely to corrode more quickly. But there's not a lot you can do about this.
Best advice, remove the power and leave it a good, long time (days and days, not hours and hours) before you turn the phone on. If you are lucky and you cut the power in time, you might get away with it. Pour away any water you can that's trapped inside, then give the rest of the water enough time to evaporate away. 0 out of 0 people found this solution helpful.

I had this problem only to find that the strap on the top of the phone case was triggering the phone to go off (as it flaps around )because there is a sensor there and the phone thinks you want the phone off !!! SOLUTION -simple,get a new phone case with strap at the side NOT at the top ! How many phone cases are sold with the strap at the top and people do not realise the problem !!!!!????????????? 0 out of 0 people found this solution helpful.
Problem: The phone keeps restarting randomly. I can't get anything done because I keep having to sort it out after my phone reboots.

There may be a few reasons for this. In a phone that had a removable memory card, I would say to take that out and try again without it (or reformat the card) but in this case I think it is possibly due to either (a) an application that is running in the background that is causing the reboot, or (b) a faulty component. For (a), try to shut down any applications that are currently running, particularly any that are new to your phone. For (b), try turning off all the additional functions on your phone and see if that stops the problem. If so, turn them on one by one until you find out what is the root of the problem. If not, feel how warm your phone is when it restarts - is it overheating? 0 out of 0 people found this solution helpful.

Problem: After dialling or receiving a call, the phone stops the call after about 30 seconds. It rings out normally in both instances.

Problem: my huawei ascend y300 behaves strangely when i charge it. instead of increasing the charge percentage it drops despite the fact that the phone will be indicating that it is charging. is it a battery problem or there is a problem with the phone? sometimes it shows an increase but then suddenly it begins to drop.
Problem: My Huawei Ascend Y300 is 4 months old and this morning I cannot switch it on - seems totally dead - does not need charging - even tried this - no light at all comes on
Problem: My Audio was working really well and was very loud, and now my phone's audio is very low. I checked all of the bars for the sound, and they're all at the maximum value. I got this problem today, and my phone isn't rooted. I didn't drop it between the times of it working and it not working, but the max output of volume I can get is about between 20-25% of how much it could reach before this problem. How can I solve this? I just got this phone last month and everything (except randomly crashing apps that shouldn't crash like Messaging, Skype, etc WOULD crash) was working perfectly fine.
Problem: MyI phone will not turn on after charging it .i have tried taing the batterie out and when I put it back in the huawei emblem comes on then nothing
Problem: Hello, I have a Huawei Ascend Y300 and am not being able to turn it on. The phone doesn't respond. It all started after I did the updating and the restart. What can I do?
Problem: when someone calls me,in the first minute he/she get me well but in the next minute he/she cant hear me talking though me i can hear them very well
Even if your phone was advertised as being *free* on a contract, you are paying for it through your monthly payments and you have the same rights that you would had you bought any other electronic item - i.e. at least a year under the Sale of Goods Act.
You do not have to take what you are offered. Don't feel pressured into taking a phone you know nothing about. Check reviews online before you buy a new phone.
Make sure you understand how much you use your phone before you sign up to a new contract. If you only use 250 minutes a month, a 1,000 minute a month contract isn't going to be any good for you. Work out how much you need and look at plans around that amount.
